Days 1–14: survive well

Reduce the number of decisions. Feed everyone, sleep in shifts, keep the door mostly closed to visitors, and write down anything you want to ask a professional.

Days 15–45: build the routine

Patterns start to appear. Claim one that is yours — the bath, the morning walk, the last feed — and protect it. Predictability helps the baby and helps you.

Days 46–90: get yourself back in the frame

Three short workouts a week, daylight, and one honest conversation with a friend. This is also the point to review insurance, write a will and check the budget against reality.
